“年年有余" charitizens chorused in unison as we followed the emcee’s instructions and added ingredients to the radiant mix of white radish, orange carrots, red peppers, chopped peanuts – ingredients that make up what we all have come to know as Yusheng.
Hall 13 Charitizens gathered at Marina Square as part of our canvassing efforts for our beneficiary, Sunbeam Place, to partake in Sakae Holdings Ltd bid to set a new record in the Singapore Book of Records for the “Largest Number of People to Recite Lo Hei Auspicious Phrases Together”.
‘Lo Hei’ is the tossing of Yusheng to symbolize abundance, prosperity and vigor. The higher you toss the platter and louder you shout the auspicious phrases, the more luck you will have in the coming year.
Charitizens were also treated to exciting performances as well as a meet-and-greet session with the cast of the 881 The Musical.
